Robert Moses’ NYC
There is practically nowhere you can go in New York City without seeing or experiencing the impact that Robert Moses had on the city and many of the surrounding areas. He built roads and bridges. He built or renovated parks throughout the city and on Long Island. His mantra was for getting people in and out of the city quickly and efficiently by car, preferably to the parks and the beaches that he had built on Long Island or in upstate New York. Almost all of the bridges and roadways that connect the five boroughs of New York City and allow cars to circumnavigate the city were built by Robert Moses.
